The Royal Helmsdeep Theatre Society was founded during the Second Era by a group of citizens living in the Kingdom of Helmsdeep. With conflicts and wars happening across Minecraftia, they found it necessary not just to provide entertainment to the masses, but to preserve oral histories from even before the First Era in the form of plays and songs. Sometimes they would make more relevant plays, some of which would even make fun of organisations that did not officially exist, such as the Redstone Alliance, called the Order of the Pundits in their play "A Crumbling Tower".

During the Great Grief their theatre building survived much of the carnage, and on a smaller scale they were able to continue holding small, simple plays throughout the Dark Ages, always ensuring the favour of every Warlord that took control of the Ruins of Helmsdeep.
