Ardor's Lodge
Ardor's Lodge is the palacial hunting lodge of House Viromaro located in north western Ardoragh. It was constructed by order of Emperor Alexander Viromaro as a hunting lodge. His sons the crown-prince Amantis and prince Louis (the future Emperor Louis) were born in the palace and spend most of their childhoods on the palace's grounds. Emperor Louis never used the palace, during which time it fell into disrepair. His daughter, Empress Theodosia, restored the palace to its former glory and uses it whenever she wishes to visit northern Ardoragh.
The Palace
The Palace consists of a domed grand hall, with two wings, the Imperial Wing and the Guest Wing.
The Imperial Wing houses the Emperor's study, bedroom, breakfast room and living room, as well as a room for the imperial children, an indoor swimming pool and a model train room.
The Guest Wing houses a Honey Room, grand dining hall, three guest rooms (The Yellow Room, the Green Room and the Raggisar Room (former Dragestein Room)), as well as a large kitchen, storage room and room for the 10-men permanent Imperial Legion Guard.
There are two attics, indoor stables and one large basement including an emergency jail cell.
The palace, like 't Koetshuys, is characterized by thick walls and several heat sources including central heating and a great many fireplaces to ensure a high quality of life in the harsh Ardoraghi winters. On top of the palace, 't Koetshuys and the church are bells that ring once whenever it turns either day or night.
The Grounds
There are several features across the grounds of the palace. These are:
't Koetshuys
Largest building on the grounds outside of the palace itself. Has a residence for the groundskeeper of the estate, which is a comfortable home, consisting of an entrance hall, dining room, living room, office, master bedroom and guestroom. It also has a guestroom. Attached to the residence are the royal stables, characterized by its size and the massive fireplace used to keep it warm.
The Amantis House
A large and comfortable manor, originally build by Emperor Alexander as a place for his oldest son and heir, crown prince Amantis, to stay with his family whenever he would visit his father. After the deaths of Alexander and Amantis the house stood empty, like much of the estate during the reign of Emperor Louis. Only when Louis returned in the last years of the Grand War did he have the home renovated. Empress Theodosia meanwhile had the home remodeled into a guest house. It has seven guestrooms, a study, living room and dining hall, as well as a temple in the basement.
Southern Garden
Symmetrical gardens with water features, flowers, trees and a large obelisk, fountain and reflecting pool, as well as an identical copy of the lion statue found on Fort Winterhal in Helmira.
Temple of Music
A theatre with space for 12 seated guests, located on the water in a large domed temple-like structure.
Heated outdoor swimming pool
Usable year-round.
Temple of Love
Build as a gift for Alexander's wife on her 50th birthday.
Cherry Tree
A gift from the people of the Aqumis Republic for Emperor Alexander's 60th birthday, for his formal recognition of the Republic and the eradication of its debts to the Empire.
Play House
Replica of the First House of Minecraftia, from Oldspawn. Build by Alexander to have a playground including a small beach for his two sons.
The Church
Named for looking a bit like a church, it is actually a multi-functional hall, used for weddings, concerts, balls, and as a remote throne room if needed.
'The Book' Library
A library constructed specifically to house one of Alexander's collections of The Book.
Private Games Grounds
A tennis court, life-sized chess board and spleef arena.
Grand Jousting Arena
The Grand Jousting Arena is a large arena with tunnel access for the general public to see the games in action. Notable features are the large throne for the Emperor/Empress and six of their guests, and the pavilion overlooking it.
The Greenhouse
A massive greenhouse meant to produce food for both the inhabitants of the palace, but more importantly the massive surplus is given away to the local Ardoraghi populations.
The Northern Garden
Symmetrical gardens with water features, flowers, trees and a large obelisk, fountain and Minecraftia's second-largest reflecting pool.
The Grand Pavilion
The largest pavilion overlooking the Northern Gardens. Has a grand hall under the dome and two ballrooms adjacent.
Imperial Legion Barracks
A long building with beds for 56 members of the Imperial Legion's Honour Guard.
