The Cookies War
The Cookies War was a brief civil conflict within the Kythiran Empire in the Third Era, during the reign of Emperor Richard I Viromaro. It involved only two minor skirmishes and had no fatalities.
The War
After King Whazajottom XVIII Von Roterstein agreed to unite his small Kingdom of Ardoragh, the last vestige of the ancient Second Era Kingdom of Redstonia, with the Kythiran Empire, forming the Province of Ardoragh, his son, the future High-Lord Whazajottom XIX Von Roterstein did not approve of his father's choices. He considered it an act of treason, and a surrender of Ardoragh's independence. Because of this the young prince rallied a small number of supporters, a combination of farmers and new recruits of the former Ardoraghi Royal Army and with them travelled east to attack a Kythiran camp on the coast of the Mediori Sea. Once they reached the camp they quickly discovered how outnumbered they were, and in the fighting half of the young prince's "army" was captured by the Kythirans. The other half managed to escape the camp, taking with them a large, richly decorated chest. They assumed it was filled with treasure that they could use to pay more fighters to join their war of independence, but to their shock it instead contained only Rotersteiners, a honey infused cookie, and delicacy unique to Ardoragh, that the Kythiran Emperor had become fond of and ordered a chest full of for the imperial court in Helmira. Thus the "Cookies War" name was born.
The group of fighters fled west into the deep forests towards the Vestlig Sea, hoping to fight a future guerrilla war and regain their independence.
