Background
General Cicerus Malgeri was born into the now extinct minor noble House of Malgeri. Descendants of Dick Malgeri, a bastard of Emperor Richard I Viromaro. He grew up in Marsadini, where he eventually enlisted into the Imperial Legion after finishing his studies. Eventually he became the General of the Second Army of the Imperial Legion. In this state he served Emperor Alexander Viromaro, until the latter died in a hunting accident.
The Coup
During the Chaos of the Coronation that followed the death of the Emperor and the Crown Prince within two days from each other, Grand Chancellor Lord Von Reventrad took control as Lord Protector of the Empire. At this time, General Malgeri's Second Army was stationed in Helmira in order to aid the Imperial Guard and the Helmiran Imperial Police with maintaining stability and peace within the capital. After several weeks of unsuccessful searches for the missing last Viromaro heir to the throne, Prince Louis Viromaro, General Malgeri decided to use the opportunity to attempt a coup. He marched his forces into the Imperial Palace, overwhelming the Imperial Guard and arresting the Grand Chancellor.
