Lord Hawthorne
Lord William B. Hawthorne is a retired Kythiran general, veteran of the Grand War, and the current Grand Chancellor of the Kythiran Empire under Empress Theodosia Viromaro. Born into a minor noble family, he rose through the Imperial Army through merit rather than inheritance, earning distinction for his logistical skill and defensive command during the later years of the war. Nicknamed The Keeper of Chesterfield he managed to maintain Kythiran control over the city despite a long siege.
After the war, Hawthorne transitioned into government service, overseeing demobilization and reconstruction efforts before entering the imperial court. He was appointed Grand Chancellor early in Theodosia’s reign, where he became a central figure in stabilizing the Empire during its postwar recovery.
He is the driving force behind the Theodosian Codex, the first formal constitution of the Kythiran Empire.
