One of the greatest palaces in Minecraftia is the grand Sanssouci Palace. Its construction was ordered by Emperor Charles III Viromaro during the Fourth Era, after the death of his older brother, Charles II Viromaro, during the Alcanzar Slave Rebellion. It was to serve as a place of refuge for House Viromaro and the other most powerful Houses at the time. For this, both House Von Dragestein and House Von Roterstein got their own large suites allocated inside the palace. It was considered a perfect venue to discuss world politics in a comfortable, private setting. The palace features, among others: A theatre, a library, a grand ballroom, a greenhouse, home cinema, and much, much more.

With Charles III dying in the Night of Lightening it fell upon his younger brother, the new Emperor Alexander Viromaro, to finish the palace's construction.

It is the only building in Minecraftia constructed by the famous architect Prof. Dr. MyGodness, although over the years a great many renovations and expansions have been conducted by Kythiran craftsmen to make the palace fit the wishes of the two Emperors who oversaw her construction.

During the Grand War the Viromaro family all moved to the safety of Helmira. The palace was occupied by the Admiralty of the Imperial Northern Sea Fleet, and used to secretly store 59 million Florynts (almost 30% of the Viromaro fortune). When the war ended, the palace was abandoned by all but her staff. Former Crown Prince Charles, who had lost his right to the throne thanks to the Reforma Carta, sailed to the palace and stole the Florynts, sailing off with them in a disastrous voyage.

In the early Fifth Era the palace is occupied by the aging former emperor Louis Viromaro, after his first residence post-abdication, Villa Isla de Peligro in Alcanzar, was attacked by a mob of villagers.
