Kythiran Military

The Kythiran Military is a complex system of separate groups, all of whom are under direct or indirect command of the Emperor or Empress of the Kythiran Empire and the Grand Marshal or Grand Admiral, all of whom are part of the Crown.

Armies of the Six Kingdoms

Each of the High-Lords of the Six Kingdoms is required the have a standing army, or have the ability to assemble one within a month's time. This army is there primarily for the protection of the individual kingdom, but can be called upon by the Crown. The Armies of Attica, Ardoragh and Alcanzar are considered to be the strongest of these armies, and they make up around 90% of the manpower of the Six Kingdoms.

The Imperial Legion

The Imperial Legion was founded in the Fourth Era by Prince Gabriel Viromaro, the younger brother of Emperor Philip Viromaro. It is the primary military force of the Kythiran Empire. It is the largest standing army within the Empire, and by far the best financed. It's mission is to "Protect the Unity and Autonomy of the Empire against all threats.". To this end it has been used both outside of the Empire during the Grand War, as well as inside in order to crush several rebellions.

The Imperial Guard

The Imperial Guard is a smaller, elite army group.
