Political parties in the Raggisar Republic

Shortly after the declaration of the Raggisar Republic, the electorate quickly organised itself into various political parties. Although the Federal Republicans and Raggisarian Unionists dominate the executive, various 2nd and 3rd rate parties do exist. These oftencase collaborate with the larger parties within coalitions. A comprehensive list of the active parties within the republic can be found below;

Leading parties

The Federal Republican party

-Consists of: Land-owning elite, Industrialists, Tradesmen, Urban educated populace.

-Primary Policy: expansion of urban areas, infrastructure, and markets.

The Raggisarian Unity party

-Consists of: Unific Order members & veterans, inhabitants of smaller towns,

-Primary Policy: scepticism towards the growth of urban areas, revanchist sanctions towards ardoragh. Regaining of Chesterfield.

Second rate parties

The Agrarian league

-Consists of: Farmers, rural populace

-Primary Policy: Opposition to Industrialization,

Union of Drafted Party

-Consists of: Devout Drafted,

-Primary Policy: opposition to Kythiran Migrants, desire to make the Drafted the state religion of Raggisar, opposition to urbanisation.

Minor parties

Lothrician autonomy party

-Consists of: remnants of Lothricians

-Primary Policy: desire for a reinstatement of the Lothrician territory with partial autonomy.

Servants of Imperius party

-Consists of: remnants of the Dragesteiner monarchy, Dragesteiner loyalists.

-Primary Policy: restoration of the Monarchy, repatriation of the remaining Dragesteiners.

League of islanders

-Consists of: lesser populated western and southern island populations, largely fishermen.

-Primary Policy: opposition to urban capitalists and industrialization.

The Party for the emancipation of Lycanthropes

-Consists of: Lycanthrope sympathisers, Lycanthropes, Drafted from particular Sects.  

-Primary Policy: expansion of State Universities, particularly in the natural philosophies of the supernatural.

The Party against Lycanthropes

-Consists of: Kythiran migrants, remnants of Lothricians

-Primary Policy: desire for criminalization of lycanthrophy

Minecraftian unionists

-Consists of: ship tradesmen, some educated urban people.

-Primary Policy: Formation of, and subsequent accession of the Raggisarian republic into the Minecraftian Union
