The White-Gold Tower is one of the oldest and most important buildings in Minecraftia in general and Kythira in particular. It functions as the headquarters of the Kythiran Empire, and is a center of (inter)national trade and Kythiran culture.

History

Originally a Helmsdeep cathedral and at the time the largest building in the world, it was the last major construction project of the Kingdom of Helmsdeep at the end of the Second Era. It survived the Great Grief, and after Kythira incorporated the remnants of the City of Helmsdeep, forming the Imperial City of Helmira, it underwent massive renovations and expansions, eventually forming the building one sees today. Though the name refers to the great white-Quartz and Gold tower, one of three towers in total, the majority of the building is actually below ground, making it one of the largest buildings in Minecraftia.

Current Palace

Today it is the center of the Kythiran Government and Kythiran culture. The palace consists of the following:

Above Ground:

The Memorial Gardens:

Consists of the lush gardens, where the nations of the Second Era are remembered.

The Throne room:

The Throne room is a massive hall, which is focused on the Diamond Throne, the seat of power in Kythira. Two small statues commemorate the Great Grief and the Chicken Incident, the latter being an event in the Third Era, where thousands of chickens accidentally flooded the Tower.

The Hall of Lords

The Hall of Lords, behind the throne, holds two tables, and is used by the Emperor to have talks with his High Lords. By law the Hall of Lords can only be entered by High-Lords of Kythira and the Emperor. A small balcony allows those inside to give speeches and announcements to those outside the Tower.

The Tower of the Crown Prince:

The Tower of the Crown Prince is a place within the palace for the Crown Prince to work. It consists of a small lobby, an office for his secretary, and his own office.

The Tower of Hand:

The Tower of the Hand is the place of work and residency for the Hand of the Emperor, a position currently in the hands of the commander of the Kythiran Legion. It consists of a bedroom and an office.

The White-Gold Tower:

The Palace's most recognizable feature, the White-Gold Tower is the newest addition to the above-ground portions of the palace. Originally being shorter, the tower was expanded and made much taller during the Third Era. It houses the Great Chandelier and the Emperor's Office. On top, beacons and fireworks allow the city to be alerted in times of crises.

Sometimes it is used for Ardoraghi Operas.

The Imperial Library:

The Hotel Voyage:

The Hotel Voyage is the most luxurious hotel in Kythira, consisting of a luxurious lobby, grand restaurant with 56 seats, or 14 tables and live music, 24 rooms and 2 grand suites, indoor flower gardens, indoor pool with sauna and a lecture hall.
