Much of its modern day economy is geared towards lumber production near the town itself and from upstream the Wahler river. The practice of Timber rafting is commonly utilised, as the Wahlers' few rapids prove such a process to remain a quick and reliable method of transport.

Scottsburg is the capital city of the commonwealth of Lygonia and is located on the banks of the Wahler river. It was declared commonwealth capital during the Third Era, following the formation of the Raggisarian Republic. Prior to the revolution, the territory was a Duchy ruled out from Castle Hallmann.
