Ardoragh is ruled under the High Lordship of High Lord Whazajottom. Whazajottom has offered to peacefully join the Empire of Kythira, which was the moment the Fourth Era had begun.
The exact reason for the unification is unknown, although Whazajottom has said so he could be left alone far away from the Empire and be able to just do his business in peace. And that this wouldn't be interupted by a siege from Kythira which would have resulted in another large destruction of the world. The Emperor himself has been skeptical on the unification too, but after all, except from turning from an absolute Monarchy into a Semi-autonomous monarchy doesn't change anything towards Whazajottom. He also figured out a way to get around the "despotic" part in his rulership. In which all Ardoraghi must destory all what they can see to prevent Ardoragh from falling into wrong hands. It is likely that if Whazajottom is to be removed from power it could start up a second Great Grief.
