After several weeks of unsuccessful searches for the missing last Viromaro heir to the throne, Prince Louis Viromaro, General Malgeri decided to use the opportunity to attempt a coup. He marched his forces into the Imperial Palace, overwhelming the Imperial Guard and arresting Von Reventrad. He named himself '''Lord Regent of the Kythiran Empire''<nowiki/>', and began arresting anyone in Helmira whom he worried might stand in his way. Many of these, primarily Viromaro loyalists, were executed. Background
General Cicerus Malgeri was born into the now extinct minor noble House of Malgeri. Descendants of Dick Malgeri, a bastard of Emperor Richard I Viromaro.
